Did you prospect in the area of Fredricksburg? I hear that a 6 pound nugget was found there at one time.

Any exchange of advice would be great.

I work a couple of creeks just up 83 from Baltimore, and want to move operations south.

Thre is Gold throughout the Rapp River system, there are issue's though the Army COE thinks they can dictate what can and can not be done on the river as it is part of the Chesepeake River Watershed Act. Then there are them Eviro Terrorist organizations like River Friends and TNC and several others that are active here.

There are also alot of Historic sites along the river which are nogo zones for prospecting. RESEARCH things before you just go jump into the water.

plus having a copy of the actual exemption as put forth in § 28.2-1203. would also make life a lot easier, haveing the actual language of the law goes along way as to shut up non law enforcement types and backs up our ligitmacy with law enforcement.

there are only a few places to gain access to the river and most of those places are deep water around 3-5 feet and you will need boat anchors to keep a dredge in place, there is a mild current. best of luck, let us know when you go maybe we can join you.

Baltimore to the launch site is at least 3 hours with no traffic, probably 4 or more. Last time I drove it during the week it took almost 6.

My dredge is capable of processing 108 Cubic Feet of Material per Hour, Im still a greenhorn and am learning how to use it by trial and error. It would be nice to have soemone teach me more about the use of it.
