Thanks Robin!

I have a passion for what I term as "real" music, be it bluegrass, claw hammer, old time gospel, etc., I see this as real music because the originals of these types of music came from real people, not professional musicians who made their music for profit, the people made the music and did it from the heart, base on the joy, love, heartbreak and the sorrow of everyday life, it was a need to express the emotions of their lives, many were illiterate but were naturally some of the best talent of their time on this earth.

I didn't always have the appreciation of real music that I have a passion for now, in my young days it was all hard Rock N Roll, I owe my transition to my passion to my father, he was all country and gospel music, not the country music we have now, but the forefathers of country music, though I couldn't stand listening too country as a young boy, I love my father and anytime there was old time country and gospel performers doing a concert near us he always ask if any of us kids would go with him(which there were 8 of us, my father was a widower, he always was either working, worrying or sleeping, doing his best to raise us on his own, he needed to take a little time to enjoy life) everyone ran in a panic and hid, except me, I always went with him, it took a while before I actually let the music into my heart, I couldn't stand it at first because it didn't shake my body like the Rock N Roll that my siblings and I always listen to, real music has to be heard and understood in your heart, I still love my Rock N Roll, but I need my heart to dance and cry as well!

Thanks again, it always a takes me back to wonderful times spent with my dad who i miss greatly, it's like he was here slapping his knee, tappimg his feet and singing along in deep bass voice! 8)

Sorry I got long winded in this reply, I wish you would post this more often when you find the time.
