CCPL spring cleanup?

Postby Darth Placer » Wed Jun 07, 2017 7:07 pm

Anybody know what is going on with the CCPL? The spring cleanup date has never been posted and spring is almost over.

I'm willing to step up and help if it's needed.

Anybody know if the private messaging system here is working.

I have three in my outbox that don't look like they have been sent.

It is working. It won't go to the sent box until the recipient reads it.

Folks, sorry to say that the lease isn't going to be renewed. We're trying to figure out a way we can meet at CC to give refunds to anyone that paid dues for 2017 if they want. More info to follow soon.

Wow that hit hard... it's very sad news to hear.

Leaves me with some questions though.
How long does the current lease last?
Why did we lose the lease?

I am in hopes there is still a chance of striking up a deal with the new owners or the current one gets another extension.

Thanks for filling us in Chuck and Sanman

Once we learned of the foreclosure, it was the only conclusion the lease would not be renewed. It is certainly of no fault to the lease admins. If there is any possibility of a future lease, hopefully that can be explored. Obviously the land has to be sold before anything can be figured out.

I would like to thank Shack and the guys for taking the lead and providing us with a great opportunity to prospect a nice gold bearing creek. Years of fun down there, hopefully we can find a way to keep it going in a sustainable way. Great job fellas!!!

I would rather you guys keep the payment and put it towards the effort of a new lease. At the very least a thank you for all your past efforts.

One last question though. With the lease setup we have... the ramp section is owned by a different person from what I understand. Any way we can keep that part to have continued atv access to the creek bed?

I would still be willing to do yearly cleanups and the like to keep that right. Most of the trash is on that end anyways. The creek itself is in very good shape from what I have seen the last two weekends.

I cringe at the thought of the creek reverting back to the old B-52 carpet bomb drop appearance it once had before the lease was in place. Just makes prospectors look really bad all around.

Kinda lost where to dredge from here.

Thank you Shack and everyone who helped with the lease. I too want to help or rejoin if possible. Shack you may keep my 2017 $20 or give it to Chuck for this website.

It looks like the parent company of the development closed the bankruptcy case on June 6th. It will probably allow any auction to go forward and a new owner may be in place at some point in the near future. I hope a prospecting lease of some sort can be worked out.
