Lucky brush with Kangaroo

Postby thedigger » Sat Dec 09, 2017 9:05 am

Yesterday right in front of our house a big kangaroo decided that I was in his territory, and that I should go,and he attacked me,he kicked me in the stomach and clawed around the neck, which bleed a lot,I chased him the ute and run away,I thought that would be the last of him.
So last night had to the hospital to have slashes to my neck attended too.
Opened the curtains this morning, and there he was under a tree right near the house,so called a friend and he arrived with a .243.When he spotted us he hopped up and was just in the process of having another go at us,but Ross was quick and got him.
He was a big one, well over 6ft,what would have happened to him,he would been driven away from the pack by the younger bull roos.

Well all the best to you all, have a good Christmas&New Year

Regards

Don't have any roos around here. Have some black bears over 700lbs and big cats. Some claim there are also some bigfoots north and west of here but the jury is still out or that. Carry a 44 mag pistol when prospecting/camping so any way about it I've got critters covered!

If it's anything like the McDonalds burgers I had back in the 80's cook that roo up.

Only dangerous critters around here are of the two legged variety.

Are there any critters down there that aren't trying to attack people? Between the snakes, crocs, spiders, sharks, box jellyfish, dingos, and now kangaroos, I'd say Mother Nature doesn't much care for the people down under.
