rocky river

rocky river

i am thinking about going down to the rocky river and giving it a try.i have been told that there is good gold in it but i dont know where to look.where is a good place to get in the river?can anyone help? thanks

I've never been there but I would say look behind big boulders, cracks and crevices in bedrock or scrape some moss off the rocks. I would say thats a good start. Be persistant. You may only find small specks. where there are small fish, usually bigger ones are around.

Yep I hear there is gold in the Rocky River also. Better have permission from the property owner because the bottom of that river does not belong to the state from what I have read. It falls into the same category as the Uwharrie and most other rivers in NC. If you find a property owner that will allow a dredge in let me know and I can bring the 4 inch out.
